Kousei Nlhonshoki is the one of the printed texts of Nihonshoki, published in 1793 by Kiyosaki Kodera. Kiyosaki Kodera (1740-1819) was a Shintou bishop and a ritualist in Kasaoka in Bichu.
Kundoku-Japanized readings on Chinese texts-of this text is revised the other texts of Nihonshoki in terms of hendokuhou based on Kundoku in 18th. century, and the choice of words, an orthography, grammatical meanings, and other linguistical matters based on Japanese Classics.
Kiyosaki Kodera took into account not only the traditional reading of Nihonshoki in the Middle Ages but also recent studies in the Edo period such as Kokugaku on classics, the Sinto divinity, and the Japanese translations of the Confucian scriptures, in order to compile this text.
