Tsurezuregusa-Ginwasho（ 徒然草吟和抄、1690）, written by an anonymous auther, is one of the the commentaries
on Tsurezuregusa（ 徒然草） which were published in the modern era.
This paper pays special attention to Tsurezuregusa-Ginwasho because it has two distinctive features. Firstly
it was written after the making of Tsurezuregusa-Shosho-Taisei（ 徒然草諸抄大成、1688） which epitomizes the
contents of over ten commentaries on Tsurezuregusa. Secondly it is an illustrated book.
The present auther thinks that examination on Tsurezuregusa-Ginwasho can show what possibility of
commenting on Tsurezuregusa is left to a commentator after Tsurezuregusa-Shosho-Taisei. At the same time we
can know which of the commentaries epitomized in Tsurezuregusa-Shosho-Taisei were referred and corporated
in Tsurezuregusa-Ginwasho. This will suggest which of the early commentaries on Tsurezuregusa has permanent
value.
Tsurezuregusa-Ginwasho has hitherto attracted little attention as a commentary. The present author thinks that
fact makes it all the more immportant material for illustrating the history of commentary on Tsurezuregusa in its
entirety.
