The questionnaires were given to non-science majors who attended a lecture entitled the \"Introduction to Natural Sciences.\" One of the objectives of the lecture was to help students correctly understand scientific articles, published in newspapers and scientific journals. We determined a useful type of teaching material to accomplish this object. We concluded that in addition to the textbook, the daily newspaper is an effective media which should be used in lectures. We investigated the effects of new media in the lecture on natural science for non-science majors. These new media included compact disk, audio cassette tape, television, videotape, color slides, and OHP. These media were very helpful in minimizing the difficulty of natural science images for non-science majors.
