At each stage, the paradigm of the educational system has been formed according to the leading media. This paper will clarify the actual conditions of the leading media shift from printed media to the current electronic media, and discuss some possible new educational paradigms for the electronic media stage. Using historical research by E.A. Havelock and W.J. Ong, we will initially examine two educational paradigm changes that followed the shift of these leading media. We will then explore three trends suggesting a forthcoming educational paradigm of the electronic media age, based on the studies of M. Heim, Hiroo Saga, S.
