This paper makes an investigation into the judgement of luxury consumption. We search this matter by tracing the history of the idea of luxury, and pay a special attention to the Simmel's theory of Fashion, and the Veblen's Principle of Waste Consumption. We are based on the theory of the Judgement of Taste, and interpret these ideas of consumption. People's taste of consumption is made up through the process of \"reflection,\" and carries social validity.
