For a beginner, practicing the piano before a lesson is crucial. However, the teacher cannot grasp the\ncontents of individual piano practice easily. Therefore, a teacher advances a lesson, without touching the\ncircumstances of individual practice. As a result, the efficiency of a lesson is tested.\n Generally, the method of checking the contents of individual piano practice from sound data is not seen. To support\nindividual piano practice, the elucidation of individual practice is needed.\n In this research, we aimed to understand the problems that sound data solve and the contents of a piano beginnerʼs\nindividual practice. The method of research acquires the MIDI data of two piano beginnersʼ piano practice. We check\nthe matching situation of sound data and score data visually from a heatmap, and link and analyze the picture of MIDI\ndata. As a result, we clarified the music score name and the practice method that the piano beginner chose.\n Two students practiced playing the piano for 3-50 minutes, and it turned out that the practiced range of time is\nwide from early morning to midnight. We held a Web questionnaire&interview with the piano beginner to check the\npractice situation. As a result, they are considering and advancing the contents of practice according to a practice\ntime zone or a learning situation. By such a method, the teacher can grasp the contents of the individual practice that a piano beginner performs and can advance a lesson. Moreover, the student can learn better about the method of\nindividual practice.
