| 内容記述 | 放送大学では、入学試験を課さず、またリカレントを目的に多様な背景や学力を持つ学生が集まるため、基礎学力の不足を補うリメディアル教育が重要な課題となっている。我々は、コロナ禍以降、リメディアル教育を俯瞰的に捉え、改善案や新規事業を提案することを目指した議論を開始した。現在では、リメディアル教育企画ワーキンググループにおいて、教員と職員が協働して積極的に議論、研究している。 本稿では、そうした議論から2023年度に試行することとなった「オンライン学習グループ（OSG）」を通じた教育手法に焦点を当て、オンライン環境を利用して地理的に分散した学生に学びの場を提供する試みを報告する。 OSGではティーチング・フェロー（TF）制度が採用され、大学院修了者がファシリテーターとして学生の能動的学習を促進する役割を果たしている。また、具体的な実践として「アメリカの芸術と文化(’19)」などの科目を対象に、学生が自発的に資料を持ち寄り、ディスカッションを行う形態が採用され、その効果が検証された。結果として、OSGは学生の自発的学習意欲の向上や、リメディアル教育のプラットフォームとして有効であることが確認された。 さらに本稿では、メタバース技術や自己学習サイトの活用など、デジタルインフラの強化を提案している。これにより、より多様な学習支援が提供され、学生同士の協働学習が促進されることが期待される。このアプローチは、学生のニーズをより良くサポートする新しい教育モデルの発展につながると見込まれる。 |

| 内容記述 | The Open University of Japan, with its open admission policy and diverse student body, faces the challenge of providing remedial education to address gaps in basic academic skills. In response to this, discussions began after the COVID-19 pandemic to take a comprehensive look at remedial education, proposing improvements and new initiatives. Currently, the Remedial Education Planning Working Group, consisting of faculty and staff, is actively researching and discussing these approaches. This paper focuses on the "Online Study Group( OSG)" initiative, implemented in Academic Year 2023. The OSG utilizes an online platform to provide learning opportunities for students spread across different locations. A key aspect of this initiative is the Teaching Fellow (TF) system, where university graduates act as facilitators to promote active learning. Courses such as "Arts and Culture of the United States (’19)" were selected for the trial, where students contributed materials and engaged in discussions, demonstrating the effectiveness of this approach. The OSG was found to increase students’ motivation for self-directed learning and served as an effective platform for remedial education. Looking forward, the paper also proposes strengthening digital infrastructure, including the use of metaverse technology and self-study websites, to provide more diverse learning support and promote collaborative learning.
