| 内容記述 | 本論では、カナダおよびヨーロッパと中国の博物館を調査して、先住民（中国では少数民族）に関する展示の類似点と差違点を明らかにした。カナダでは、先住民の歴史と現代が明確に呈示され、過去の植民地支配に対する謝罪の意が展示に示されている。北欧の博物館では、先住民の歴史と現代が展示されているが、旧植民地的な状況に関する展示はごく少ない。北欧以外のヨーロッパでは、多くの博物館において先住民というカテゴリーもなく、旧植民地を肯定的に展示するスペイン以外の国では植民地は展示の対象とされていない。中国では、展示構想と内容は博物館によって異なっていることが判明した。 | |||||

| 値 | We report the results of field research concerning representation of Indigenous peoples in 24 Canadian, Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Western Europe and Chinese museums. We found that in Canada the history and contemporary situation of Indigenous peoples is represented, as well as atonement for colonial treatment. Excepting Northern Europe, European museums did not represent as a category lndigenous peoples, and no European museums dealt with nor represented past colonial practices concerning Indigenous peoples. Representation of Minority peoples in Chinese museums varied according to the institution. | |||||
