| 内容記述 | 放送大学の受講者を増やすための一つの方策として、離島における学生の新規獲得を目指すことが考えられる。そのためには離島居住者の現状を把握する必要があると考え、長崎県の離島（壱岐市、五島市、対馬市）で質問紙調査とインタビュー調査を実施した。調査の結果、一番の課題は面接授業や単位認定試験のために学習センターに出向くための時間的・経済的負担にあることが分かった。また飛行機や船は天候によって欠航することもあり、それも障害要因になっていた。テレビ番組の受講についても、CATV会社の方針で放送大学の番組が放映されていないケースもあり、テキストだけで学習している者もいた。こうした現状を踏まえ、インターネットによる学習環境の整備や、単位認定試験のインターネット経由での実施などを検討する必要があると考えられた。また知名度の低さに対してPRを重視することも必要と思われた。 | |||||

| 値 | One of the possible ways to increase the number of students of The Open University of Japan is to acquire new students in isolated islands. For this purpose, the author conducted a questionnaire survey and an interview research in Nagasaki prefecture(Iki, Goto, and Tsushima). The result showed that the most critical factor for students in such isolated islands is the temporal load and the financial load to go to the learning center so that they can attend the schooling and the examination. Furthermore, planes and ships will be cancelled depending on the weather condition. There were students who study only by the textbook because some CATV companies do not broadcast the program of The Open University of Japan. Based on these findings, it was considered to be necessary to increase the number of streaming programs and to consider about the possibility of the examination via internet. | |||||
